Other can a scab by my elbow, I seem to have survived the attack of sunburn from last weekend. The skin is starting to flake off on my forearms, which is always a good sign. I might even be allowed out into the sun some time next week.

As it was the final week of term this week, we had the leaving speeches and the like. I'll be honest, but I avoid them like the plague. My false niceness meter seems to go off the charts during them. One thing of note though was that I was personally thanked during one of them. Thankfully, I wasn't at it or else I may have burned myself again blushing.

So with all these leavings I've been doing my socialite impersonation. I'm almost all socialled out. Did you know that social lives are like buses. Nothing happens for months and suddenly there are five or six things all at the same time.

I got something which looks like a calculator from my bank the other day, no idea what it is or what's it for. The instructions say that I have to put my card into it and then press identify. But when I do it, the machine says that my card isn't valid. I am getting a new card at the end of the month, so it might work with that.

It is the baseball all star break this week coming. I still can't believe that this decides home field advantage for the World Series. Things are tied in the AL East (Friday) and with the Rays improving, it looks like the division will soon devolve into a battle royale.

More news on the babies front, where a friend of mine has given birth to a wonderful daughter. She was 8lbs and 60.5oz ahhhhh. Oh, and apologies for not getting to the christening this weekend. I know that I said that I was going to be there, but I've been terrible.

I'm out and about visiting friends for a while so posts maybe a little sporatic. I've pre written a couple of posts (including this one) to keep you entertained. The next live one will probably be Quick Hits next Sunday. Have a good week everyone.

Bye for now
